Description
Our client, Jaguar Land Rover, is a market leader in luxury and high
volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands.
In this role, you will be required to lead the development of hybrid
Batteries and Ultracapacitors for both micro and full hybrids. Leverage
global and industry learning, including close working with specialists
in other brands across the industry where appropriate to ensure that
system commonality and robustness is achieved.
Job Requirements
-1Identify advanced engineering requirements and projects to support
ongoing battery and energy storage needs including plug in and stop
start systems.
2 Develop battery power management strategy for the
brand.
- Own the battery strategy for the brand going forward.
- Cascade
targets down from system level incorporated into SDS's.
- Operate with GTDS (technology delivery) and GPDS (programme delivery) timing
constraints.
HEV is a complex multifaceted system with unparalleled
interactions. The delivery environment is very dynamic mainly due to the
immaturity of the technology.
- Supplier management from both technical
and budget viewpoint.
- Use of consultancy resources.
- Collaboration
with internal groups on Power supply, EDS, package, cooling.
The key
deliverables of the role include identifying best practice strategies
across the various elements, rolling out these strategies throughout the
operations chain and, critically, maintaining these for the long term,
applying improvements as new technologies and system architectures
appear.
