Delphi Diesel Systems Ltd, part of Delphi Corporation, one of the world's largest automotive parts manufacturers and has approximately 146,600 employees. With offices worldwide, the company operates 150 wholly owned manufacturing sites, 44 joint ventures, 53 customer centers and sales offices, and 33 technical centers in 38 countries. In January 2000 Delphi acquired the diesel systems business of Lucas TRW, making Delphi the world's second largest manufacturer of Diesel Fuel Injection equipment. The UK operations support both Medium and Heavy Duty Diesel Fuel Injection Systems.

Location

The Medium Duty Diesel Technical Centre and Manufacturing facility is located in Gillingham, Kent. Kent is known worldwide as the “Garden of England”, offers quick and easy access to London (35 minutes by train) and is within easy reach of an extensive and varied coastline encompassing some stunning landscapes from the White Cliffs of Dover to the mysterious and haunting landscapes of Dungeness and the Romney Marshes. Gillingham has strong maritime and military connections with the nearby Historic Dockyard in Chatham, and Royal Engineers barracks based in the town.

It takes just 35 minutes on the train to France, from Folkestone to Calais, or you can catch the high-speed train from Ashford International to Lille and Paris. Or, travel by ferry from Dover to Calais, or from Dover to Dunkerque.
